Gale force winds wreck havoc in Khayelitsha

CAPE TOWN – Khayelitsha is already reeling from the severe weather hitting the Western Cape.

Gale force winds ripped through six informal settlements in Ward 99 Khayelitsha, leaving a trail of destruction.

A local Councilor says many homes have been flattened.

Residents are bracing for further damage as more extreme weather has been forecast.

The Gift of the Givers has already moved in to assist.
