Western Cape working on plans to improve water resources

CAPE TOWN – The Western Cape government is looking at expanding the Voëlvlei Dam in Gaouda, to ensure water security in the province. 

Western Cape dams are currently filled to capacity.

But, that’s not going to last forever. Working with the National Department of Water and Sanitation, the plan is to build additional water infrastructure in the province. 

ENCA reporter Kevin Brandt caught up with the Water and Sanitation Department’s official, Ntombizanele Bila-Mupariwa, and filed this report.
