Police crack down on crime in Diepsloot

JOHANNESBURG – Operation Shanela has hit Diepsloot in northern Johannesburg on Saturday.

Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni will be joined by senior SAPS officers and other law enforcement agencies.

More than 35 illegally connected transformers were removed in Diepsloot last month in a joint Eskom and law enforcement operation.

But residents claim this has made the area more dangerous.
