South African music star Tyla had a double win on Sunday night at the BET Awards 2024.

The Water crooner won the Best International Act Award and Best New Artist Award, flagging Africa to the world.

During her acceptance speech, Tyla said she dedicates the award to Africa; she also appreciates her family, team, and supporters for being part of her success story.

“This is a great honor to be here. I would like to dedicate this award to Africa,” she said.

“I would also like to dedicate this award to all the African stars who came before me and did not have the opportunities that I have. This is amazing. Africa to the world, my friends.”

Tyla delivered a stunning performance of her hit song Jump at the award event, which further solidifies her star-girl era.
