Eastern Cape enters technical recession

BUTTERWORTH, EASTERN CAPE – According to the Eastern Cape Socio-Economic Consultative Council, the province  is in a technical recession.

They say this is as a result of a sharp decline in the construction, manufacturing, and mining industries. This will undoubtedly impact employment badly.

Are there corrective measure that the Eastern Cape government can implement to get themselves out of this?

Development Economist, Phelisa Nkomo had a discussion with eNCA’s Dan Moyane.

What do you think?
