Hankey High School teachers express safety concerns

HANKEY – Teachers at Hankey High School have vowed to continue their strike until their safety concerns are addressed.

Gang violence in the area has spilt onto the school grounds in recent weeks.

Teachers have been protesting since Monday, demanding officials address their safety concerns.

Parents are concerned about the effects on their children’s education.

They say an agreement for classes to resume from Monday was reached, while police closely monitor the situation.
