The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) says it is trying to address tech issues that have taken South African government websites down in recent weeks.
Over the last month, government websites ending in “.gov” have experienced significant downtime, with web pages either not loading or loading very slowly. The web domain “.gov” is used for many government websites in South Africa.
On at least three occasions in the last month, News24 witnessed multiple “.gov” websites failing to load at the same time.
