Pirates confirm Van Rooyen signing

JOHANNESBURG – Orlando Pirates have secured the service of right back Deano van Rooyen from Stellenbosch FC.

Van Rooyen has penned down a three-year deal with the Soweto Giants.

The former Stellies skipper adds to Orlando Pirates’ defence, as Pirates look to succeed in both the domestic front and the Caf Champions League.

The 27-year-old, who is the cousin of Kaizer Chiefs striker Ashley du Preez, will compete for the right-back spot with Thabiso Monyane, Thabiso Lebitso and Bandile Shandu.
