Dr Sandile also highlighted the responsibility that comes with his social media influence, aiming to inspire and educate, particularly the youth of South Africa.

“I don’t see myself as particularly influential, I try to use social media as a tool for connecting with people and advocating for change in our healthcare system,” he said.

Currently, Dr Sandile is a module coordinator for the 3rd-year internal medicine module at UKZN and teaches 4th-year medical students.

He views this role as just the beginning of his teaching career and looks forward to expanding his involvement in health professions education.
