Three people lost their lives when a taxi and delivery vehicle collided in Mpumalanga.
THREE people have been killed in a head-on collision on Saturday, 6 July, when a minibus taxi and a light delivery vehicle crashed on the N17 toll road between Trichardt and Bethal.
The victims were burnt beyond recognition.
According to Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, security and liaison department spokesman, Moeti Mmusi, two of the victims were occupants in the taxi, while the third was in the car.

“The deceased were burnt beyond recognition. The cause of the crash is not yet known, and an investigation is underway,” said Mmusi.
Mpumalanga MEC for community safety, security, and liaison, Jackie Macie, urged motorists to exercise caution, especially as schools reopen for the third term.
“Drivers must obey the rules and be vigilant every time they get behind the wheel. Most crashes are avoidable with due diligence from all road users,” Macie said.
