— Aaron Dube (@AronDube) September 2, 2024NASIZO Mndende is proud to be a virgin.
The 29-year-old activist from Xhora in the Eastern Cape believes life is about making choices.
She’s famously known for promoting abstinence on her social media platforms and running a cultural preservation organisation called Inkciyo Eastern Cape.
She told Daily Sun she started the organisation to mentor other virgins.
Nasizo said her older siblings fell pregnant while still young and missed many opportunities.
She’s learnt from their mistakes and chose a different path.

“I wanted to make myself and my family proud. My secret is I’m from a Christian background. At home, we were always taught from a oung age to keep our bodies for Christ. Growing up, I’ve always been interested in learning more about cultural things and practices,” Nasizo said.
Some men are supportive of what she’s doing, even offering to buy her luxurious cars.
“Some of the men even want to pay lobola of 30 or 40 cows. I know what I want and still have dreams to fulfil,” she said.
Nasizo said in society, slay queens have dominated, and she’s not a slay queen.
The University of Fort Hare graduate, who earned an honours degree in social work in 2020, still wants to pursue her studies.
“I have to marry someone I love. For me, happiness comes first. Marriage currently is not my top priority. I’m happy alone and want to pursue my dreams.”
She’s a role model in the Eastern Cape, although some people judge her for being a virgin at her age, suggesting it means she’s not healthy enough.
“I’m healthy. I live what I preach. I’m not easily approachable and attend events where my values align with the people’s,” said Nasizo.
She mentioned that it’s not easy for a man to approach her for a date. Nasizo is also a businesswoman involved in various events, including catering, decor, and branding.
Babalwa Maya, a cultural ambassador, said: “Nasizo is a proud virgin. I’m proud of her. She’s a role model and even mentors my kids.”
